Introducing Interview with my Friend - Sarah
After reading The Lady who Lunches blog I was inspired by Meagan to connect with family members and interview them, My first interview was with my uncle who kindly agree to participate, you can read his interview here and my friend Emma's here.
I enjoyed reading his answers so much that it made me think why stop at family, when I could also ask my friends if they would like to give it a go!
My friend Sarah, is someone special to me. We met when we worked together at HSBC. We became very close and helped each other get through the rough times at work. We enjoyed fun nights out and many girly chats about all kinds of things. I am thank ful to Sarah for this and proud to have her as my friend and happy that I was able to attend her beautiful wedding back in June.
So I asked Sarah if she would like to be part of my blog and yay she agreed.
Voila…. Introducing ‘Interview with a friend’ series a slight modification to the 'Interview with a fam' series.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Sarah Cox (only just though, as recently got married!!) I'm 30 years old and live in lovely Warwick with James my hubby. I have one sister who is two years young than me, and even though we used to fight like cat and dog when we were growing up we are really close now!...people even think we are twins as we look very similar too!
2. What is your fondest memory?
The bestest memory that makes me smile only happened last year!....it was when James proposed on holiday in China. I LOVE it when James tells the story and think when I'm an old lady I don't think I will have ever got bored of hearing it! We were visiting Xitang a very old, traditional canal town in China. It was dusk and the beautiful town had red lanterns hanging on the buildings and little tea lights floating in the water...so it was very picturesque and very romantic! We were walking along the street towards the main bridge over the canal when James said to me ''its really beautiful here''...and of course I agreed. Then he said ''I really love you hun'' and of course I said I loved him too. Then he dropped to his knee and opened up a ring box with a glistening diamond inside and said ''I have a little question for you, will you marry me?''...I was speechless and started to cry happy tears and of course I said YES!!!!
3. If you had one life message to send people, what would it be?
My motto is ''Live for the moment and enjoy every second''
4. Tell us 5 things people wouldn't know about you?
I can't stand banana's - the taste and smell, even touching them, eugh!!!
I have worked for Virgin Atlantic as cabin crew
I once met Robbie Williams in L.A (love him!!)
I've had gall stones....and my gall bladder taken out
My guilty pleasure is watching "Come Dine with Me" on Channel 4, it's great!!
5. Tell us 5 things you enjoy doing during your spare time?
I love cooking - my speciality is cakes and cupcakes, and I enjoy baking cupcakes as a little sideline 'Sarah's Cupcakes' for friends birthdays, weddings and christenings!
I love love love shoes and really enjoy shopping with the girlies (usually window shopping).
Love catching up with family and friends
Enjoy the cinema and relaxing in front of a film...can't wait for Twilight Breaking Dawn to come out in November!
Love visiting the gym, usually end up relaxing and enjoying the spa though...then coming home and giving myself a manicure and painting my nails! (can't get enough of Barry M nail varnishes!)
6. If money was no object where would you like to go in the world for holidays?
This would be my dream!!! I would love to travel and there are so many exciting, beautiful places in the world which are still on my wish list. Where to start - South America definitely - Machu Picchu, Argentina, Rio di Janero for the carnival...then onto New Zealand, Maldives, Madagascar...and closer to home Italy, then Greece to do island hopping, not missing Santorini!
7. What is your favorite music?
I love a bit of everything from Kings of Leon, Adele to Take That and Chase and Status!! At home at the moment on the i-pod is our wedding day playlist, all finished off with our first dance song, Take That and Perfect Day!!
Merci beaucoup Sarah.
Gros bisous
